Free Will Dues Membership Commitment

At Beth El Hebrew Congregation we do not believe finances should prohibit you from being a part of our congregation. We do not have a dues schedule and we do not ask for your personal finance documentation, instead we have “Free Will Dues”.
We look at our expected income and expenses for the upcoming year and tell you what we need each membership unit to give to break even. Some will have the capacity to give more, and some will give less depending on what is going on in their lives. We ask our members each year to look at their budget and make a pledge based on what they can afford and what is meaningful to them. We want to be important to you, but we don’t need to be as important as your mortgage, just important enough that you attend and participate in a way that matters.
This year our break-even number is $3,100.00.
Please remember your pledge does not include religious school fees or the two mandatory charges for security ($275) and building upkeep ($175).
