Beth El Welcomes PROSPECTIVE Members!

We are confident that your life and the life of our congregational community will be enriched by your affiliation with us. In joining our synagogue, you will have an opportunity to participate actively in the joys of Judaism. Beth El is a place where you will find room for Jewish self-expression, prayer, learning, and celebration.

Most importantly, we want you to know that we are a family. When you celebrate a simcha, we share your joy. When you need strength and comfort, we are there with you. In joining Beth El, our family will become your family. We are delighted that you are considering making our home your home!

Here you will find Jewish singles and couples; single-parent and two-parent families; interfaith couples and families; Jews of color and Jews-by-choice; Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Jews.

Please call the Temple office at (703) 370-9400 if you have any questions about our programs or membership, or if you would like a personalized tour of our congregation.

You can download a Membership Application or contact us at [email protected] or call us at the number above and we will send you a Prospective Member Information Packet and a synagogue representative will contact you. Membership applications may be scanned and emailed, mailed to the office, or even better, drop it off in person so that we can meet you!

Please don't hesitate to introduce yourself when you come to visit.

With kind regards,

Adam Wallach
Executive Director

Did You Know...?

Beth El is raising funds for a new playground?

With seed money from Cantor Jason Kaufman's concert, the JCCNV was able to start a fund with all proceeds going towards a new playground for the preschool.  If you would like to donate towards this very worthy project, simply send your donations to Beth El Hebrew Congregation and notate "Playground."  If you donate on line, the playground fund is first on the list!

United We Stand

Beth El Hebrew Congregation stands with the residents of Charlottesville in denouncing hatred. The truly shameful behavior of neo Nazi groups that descended upon the city was the latest example of domestic terrorism designed to further divide our nation. We believe that all people regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation are an asset to the social fabric of the United States. Any attempt by hate groups to deny the rights of citizens will always fail because our fundamental beliefs in liberty and equality. Our prayers go out to the families of Heather Heyer,  Lt. H. Jay Cullen, and Berke M.M. Bates, along with all the counter protesters who were hurt.
