One of the unsung heroes in our religious school is our Religious School and Youth Committee, known as RSY. This group of dedicated synagogue members meet monthly and serve the students and families of the religious school.
At one of our early meetings, the group suggested finding ways to build connections between the adult family members, focusing on our congregational values of mishpacha (family) & chesed (loving kindness). Out of these conversations, the following events have been created:
1.Wine Tasting at Nigus (for adults only): Negus is a new winery in Alexandria specializing in traditional Ethiopian Honey Wines. 2. Spaghetti Dinner and Dessert Auction (fun for the whole family): This unique program will be in the spring of 2024. While details are still being ironed out, we hope you will participate by baking one of your family’s special desserts for our Dessert Auction.
Both of these events are not possible without volunteers. Canteen Coupons are HERE! Starting this week, we are selling Canteen Coupons to families of 4th grade and up to use for meals on Wednesdays and Sundays at Canteen.
