Happy Thursday Religious School Families, We are halfway through the fall holiday season. I hope you and your family had a joyous Rosh Hashanah and a meaningful fast on Yom Kippur. This week we are back to religious school on Sundays! I can’t wait to see all the Kindergarten through 3rd grade students back in the building!

Celebrate Sukkot and Consecration on Friday, September 29th, beginning at 6pm for a music filled service and listen to the interactive story, Why Does it Always Rain on Sukkot. Celebrate Simchat Torah with Religious School on Sunday, October 8th. This will all be our 2nd Yamei Midot, Yom Messorah (Tradition). Beginning at 11:00am, families are invited to join their students in the sanctuary for a special program where we unroll the Torah scrolls around the room. There will be singing, dancing and have a Torah parade leading right into the congregational Simchat Torah Block Party. (Note: in order for students to stay at the block party, parents must be present.)

We will review the Netzer and Confirmation Calendar and discuss the opportunities for your child to participate in BEFTY, the Beth El chapter of NFTY MAR.
Wednesday Night Canteen Needs YOU! At Beth El Hebrew Congregation, we provide a unique opportunity for our 4th to 7th grade students to create connections each week by having dinner together. In order for us to continue this tradition, we need your support. Each Wednesday, we are looking for 2 adult volunteers to support canteen by helping serve/collect money.
