In the Community
Help us collect personal care items specific to the needs of
Black residents at Carpenter’s Shelter.
Personal care items usually donated to shelters are often not products that are compatible for the specific hair and skin needs of Black residents. We are holding a drive to collect these specific items for Carpenter’s Shelter. We have put together an Amazon registry where the Beth El community can directly order the items most needed. Orders can be placed by clicking here.
On this list, you will see how many of each item is needed (ranging from 25-50 of each) and how many still need to be purchased. Once you put the items in your Amazon shopping cart and go to Checkout to select payment method and shipping address, you will see "Carpenter's Shelter - attn. Jamila Smith's Gift Registry” as one of the options for the address to ship to. Select this shipping address and the items will automatically be sent directly to Carpenter’s Shelter.
Let’s pitch in to make everyone in the community feel included and cared for.
