During my living room Bimah High Holiday remarks, not where I expected to deliver my second address to you as your President, I asked members to donate to our High Holiday Fundraising Appeal.   Since the onset of the pandemic Beth El has suffered the loss of many of its non-dues annual revenues streams.  Some have decreased significantly or even gone to zero.  

For example this year we were unable to sell tickets for our High Holiday Services.  We no longer provide space to rent for outside events, weddings, or B’nai Mitzvah.   We no longer host bridge weekly and many of our local and traditional building rental users are not able to rent our space right now.  Our preschool enrollment has fallen by 75%.  In short… financially ouch.  But we are a strong and resilient community.

Beth El has survived for one hundred and sixty three years and we will continue to survive these troubling times too.
