WRJ Educational Meeting: Zoom in on Hereditary Cancers -- ON-LINE
Sunday, August 23, 2020 • 3 Elul 5780
7:00 PM - 9:00 PMon-lineEveryone has some risk of developing cancer, and in most cases the disease develops by chance. However, some people are genetically predisposed by hereditary mutations to developing certain types of cancer, including breast, ovarian, colorectal, prostate, and pancreatic cancer, as well as some other, less common cancer types. These people have a higher risk of developing the disease than those in the general public.
Genetic testing is now available for some hereditary cancers. Judith Macon, RN, MA, will join us via Zoom to discuss: • Who should consider testing? • What tests are available now? • What do the results mean for me and my family?
