Resource Program

The mission of the Beth El House Resource Program is to provide a resource person to help each resident achieve a variety of personal and professional goals.

POTENTIAL SUBJECT AREAS FOR A BEH RESOURCE PERSON
(others may be added on an as-needed basis):

• Computer training
• Personal budgeting/finance
• Health, nutrition & fitness
• Employment-seeking issues (resume building, interview skills, etc.)
• Parenting
• Tutoring (GED, ESL, other languages, etc.)
• Children’s “big sister” or “big brother” (i.e., someone to do arts & crafts with, take them to the zoo or story-time at library, play in the house, etc.)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Needs assessment is conducted by the case manager
• Case manager communicates need to Resource chairperson
• Monitoring shall be ongoing by case manager (measurement)
• Periodic feedback from resource person to chairperson on residents’ progress
• If training or coaching is required for a resource person, it will be provided by resource chairperson
• Time commitment for each resource person is on an individual basis according to the specific needs of the resident
